Thanks for coming; we’ll see you at the next kids club event on March 14

Thanks to everyone who joined us on Jan. 17 as we kicked off the 2015 Royer’s Kids Club schedule.
The first event comes at a particularly good time, bringing color back into our lives in the middle of winter. Spring and warmer temperatures aren’t that far away after all!
We look forward to seeing you at the next free kids club event on March 14. Click here for the full schedule.

Save the date: final 2014 Royer’s Kids Club event is Nov. 1

Thanks to everyone who joined us on Aug. 23 for our back-to-school Royer’s Kids Club event. The photos above show some of the participants at our West York store.
Not only is it hard to believe that school has resumed, but it’s also incredible to think that we have only one more kids club event in 2014.
It’s on Nov. 1, and we’ll be kicking off our annual “Bouquets for Books” book drive, which collects new children’s books for area public libraries. We’ll also be celebrating Halloween, even if it’s a day late, so participants (ages 5 to 12) will be encouraged to wear their costumes.
Be sure to mark your calendars. We’ll provide more details in the weeks ahead.

Irish eyes smile at St. Patrick’s Day kids club event

A tip o’ the cap to everyone who joined us on March 15 for our St. Patrick’s Day-themed Royer’s Kids Club event.
Each child who participated had an opportunity to decorate a white carnation by giving it a smiling face. They carnations were dropped in bud vases filled with water that was dyed green to mark the holiday. Eventually, the dye will work its way up the stem to change the color of the flower.
There’s even more fun planned as the kids club has three more events in 2014. The dates and themes:
June 21: Stems Hunger food drive
Aug. 23: Back to school
Nov. 1: Bouquets for Books book drive
